Originally an Army
post
built in 1838, Ft. Lauderdale is now a city with
broad beaches and an easy pace of life. The port and airport are about 10
minutes apart, and both are attractive and of manageable size, making the
city popular as a cruise embarkation point. About 40 minutes south is the
newly restored Art Deco district of Miami Beach (South Beach,
of movie Birdcage fame). Cheap Cruises can arrange a pre- or
post-cruise holiday for you. |
